Lake Louise and the Plain of Six Glaciers (Tea House Included)

“Let’s go to the mountains!”   Many regard this hike as the ultimate mountain experience  A beautiful hotel, an azure lake dotted with canoes.  A trail leading up moraines into a colosseum of peaks shrouded in history and legend.  With a teahouse serving pie, tea and coffee at the top.  And top notch scenery to boot.

If you can stand the 300 other people who had the same idea about “going to the mountains” today, than this hike won’t disappoint.  But if you revel in the solitude and silence comes from ascending into a cirque with no one but you, perhaps a friend, the wind, Marmots and Griz then maybe head to the Highwood:)  (Shhhh, don’t tell anyone).

Get the Saskatoon pie.
