Eagle Bluffs (via Black Mountain) – Cypress Mountain Provincial Park – West Vancouver
9 km
320m elev gain
Coming from K country to Vancouver has left me wondering what wonders await in the green granite mountains of the North Shore of Vancouver. Eagle bluffs is a great intro hike for anyone with the same curiousity as it is a reasonable distance with moderate elevation gain.
My route followed the forested east slope of Black mountain to the top before descending through cedars to the placid, dark watered subalpine lakes leading to Eagle Bluffs.
This trip has views of endless peaks, sublime subalpine lakes and ocean vistas of the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver and the Gulf Islands.
